This is a game I helped make during my second year of college at NBCC Miramichi. By "helped make", I mean, I did almost all of the coding, and helped integrate the small amount of code I didn't write. I was in a team of 2 artists and one project manager/audio technician. It took a whole schoolyear to make this game. A month or so for documentation, design, research(remember, we had other courses during this time, and assignments to do for each of them), and the rest of the year to fnish up this game. I was my group's only "full time" programmer, though I did receive some help from Luc Nadeau, the project manager. He did the research on the FMod sound library, and told me what code and dlls we needed to play sound. The rest of the team was comprised of Andrew Emburry, who did all of the 3D models for the game, as well as some 2D animations, and Ariel, who drew all 2D images and textures.
you can download this game here (documentation and source-code included!)
although its not necessary to play the game, you can download the movies patch ,which adds 2 movies: The game intro and the credits.
Kevin Fields for making a really cool credits AVI for us, using AfterEffects
Collin Pickford, for using his precious time
helping us with the DirectShow player that one night in the lab.
David, for helping me & Luc with that Database assignment, which freed up our time to worry about the project itself.
In that last one, we see that the player has found a Hypergate; an interdimensional portal that the enemies use to bring in reinforcements. In short, its a "baddie generator", and you've got to destroy it.
